Riley and Soccer

This is the second year for soccer up here and Riley wanted to play again. Jason and I were kind of iffy about it since last year he mostly did cartwheels, somersaults and have conversations with the ref while on the field rather than actually play soccer, but Riley said he wanted to play again so I signed him up. He actually did a lot better this time around. His cartwheels were fully extended and his somersaults were great! Hee hee! No really, he improved a lot and actually went after the ball more. However, he didn't really chat it up with the refs, probably because Jason refereed most of his games.

Jason did a great job helping the little kids learn more about the rules and subtleties of the game. He's really good with kids. I know because whenever he substituted for me in primary the first thing the kids would ask me is, "When is your husband going to teach again?" I know I'm not the best teacher, but come on! Where's the tact?!

I want to know if Jason said to the kids..... "This is the safe zone!" like he did with Jerrik!
