Holiday Happenings

Here are some pictures as to what we have been doing for the holidays. (With the exception of the first picture.) We had a trap shoot with my side of the family after Thanksgiving where the kids shot bb guns and 22's at pumpkins and the adults and older kids used shotguns for the clay pigeons.
Conrad as a future plumber? Skater dude? Oh please oh please let it be a plumber! (If that's what it comes down to)

Disaster waiting to happen. Me, not my niece.

For the Christmas season we started off by making sugar cookies and frosting. And yes, they were homemade and edible to boot!

Spending a day celebrating Christmas with Jason's family

This year we found Jason the perfect sweater for Christmas. He proudly displayed his cute and cuddly Christmas spirit at my family's Christmas party.

My whole family

My parents and siblings

I betcha didn't notice me at all.
There's so much I could say about my clothing choice contributing to the festive mood of the season, but what it all comes down to is,
"Oh Kathryn, you didn't? (long embarrassed pause) Yes..... yes I did."
By the way, it's a lovely turtle neck with snowmen.
Also present, but not loudly proclaiming their presence is my sister-in-law Emily and my nephew Caden, along with Conrad.

Every Christmas Eve a play is held at the Woodruff church put on by the primary kids. Each year is a different play that has been written by a very talented woman in Woodruff. This tradition has been going on for years and years. Practices start at the beginning of December and go through the entire month. The kids learn many songs and a dance for their group. Last year was our first year participating. Since we were going to be home again for Christmas Eve this year, Riley and Addi decided they wanted to be in it. This year Riley was a present.

Addi was an animal, but we only had a ladybug costume. It seemed to make a better "animal" than a purple unicorn. At least ladybugs exist.

Christmas Eve Jason and I have started giving the kids pj's. This year I found some that you could iron on your name. I couldn't pass up putting on Conrad's nickname, which is perfectly suited for him, Mr. Troubles.

Like mother, like daughter. I can't put on lipstick either sweetie!

We had our own little snow day up at the playground next to our home. It lasted about 15 min for Conrad and slightly longer for Addi, but Jason and Riley were diehards. They only came in when it became to dark and the risk of hypothermia started to set in.

Fun pictures! We especially loved the sweaters. I told my family all about them the next day. You have to be a special kind of someone to be able to pull that off and you two did it super awesomely- is that a word? Hope your New Year has started off great! Love you guys!
