O' Christmas Tree

We had a tradition of going to Mt. Pleasant the Saturday following Thanksgiving to cut our own Christmas Tree. But due to slim pick'ens we started going to Ephraim to buy a tree. Circumstances beyond our control have not allowed us to own an artificial tree, due to the fact that it may lead to the ownership of a minivan!! When we moved up here we found out that we could get a permit for 10 bucks and cut our own tree. Until you see a minivan in our driveway, we will always have a real tree, it may not be pretty or full or even a pine tree, but at least it will be real. This has been a wonderful tradition and hope it keeps going. To everyone, including those with minivans, "Merry Christmas, We love you and you know we're just kidding!!"

What does owning a minivan have to do with artificial trees? Ever heard of UPS? I have an artificial tree and it rocks!!

I do love real trees- we always had one growing up. However, I bought a fake tree the year we cut down a hideously gigantic tree in Mt. Pleasant and it fell over in the middle of the night, breaking ornaments and getting sap all over the carpet. We couldn't get it to stand again for anything. I've loved our fake tree, but miss the real tree smell. Plus, real trees give me hives. Looking forward to seeing you for Christmas!

I've been emasculated by a Minivan and a fake tree. Looks like and reminds me of so much fun. Lets look at that other sled when you come down next. :)
